The pass through mode will bring in the outside sound if you need to have a conversation with someone or hear the traffic around you. This can easily be switched on or off with the press of a button. These have some of the thickest foam pads and are some of the most comfortable we have used. They rotate to create a perfect fit on your head and over your ears. They will fold up and fit perfect in a backpack, bag, or purse. The controls are raised and easy to operate. All controls are on the right ear cup. The single button on the back of the ear cup will power the headphones on and off by holding down on the button. This button also will play and pause, answer or hang up on a call. Press this button twice to redial the last number you called and press it three times to activate your voice assistant. The longer button below that single button acts as a volume button by pressing the top or bottom part of the button once and releasing. If you hold in on the top of the button, this will skip to the next track and if you hold in on the bottom of the button, this will skip back to the start of the song or to the previous track. The large button on the front of the right ear cup will cycle between active noise cancellation on, off, or pass through mode that will let you hear everything going on around you while you have the headphones on. The audible and voice feedback let you know exactly what mode you are in, and when the power has been turned on or off.
